Broad-Based Revolutionary Organization
A Commonwealth of Every Worker
We unequivocally reject the closed elitism of the isolated cadre model. We open our doors widely to working people at all stages of consciousness, empowering every member through shared labor, direct democracy, and systematic political education.
Why We Reject the Cadre Model
True socialist transformation is enacted by the broad masses of working people, not by a narrow clique of ideological gatekeepers.
Traditional vanguard cadre structures isolate organisations from ordinary life, gatekeep participation through rigid orthodoxy tests, and reduce workers to passive recipients of party directives. The Commonwealth exists on the opposite premise: we welcome people where they are, trust the collective intelligence of the working class, and construct participatory pathways where experience and education develop together.
"The liberation of the working class must be the work of the working class itself—broad, diverse, federated, and united in collective action."
Cadre Dogmatism
Rigid ideological purity tests that alienate ordinary wage earners and foster bureaucratic hierarchies.
The Commonwealth Way
Mass accessibility, democratic councils, and gradual empowerment through collective practice and solidarity.
Top-Down Orders
Central committees making unilateral decrees while rank-and-file members are relegated to leafleting.
Direct Federal Democracy
Sovereign local councils with recallable delegates, cooperative workplace voting, and shared governance.
Tiers of Membership
We maintain clear, tiered stages of engagement designed to support people wherever they begin, providing every opportunity to deepen involvement and take on cooperative leadership.
